Exploring the Socio-Economic Impact of Philanthropy in the Southwest

PSW is pleased to feature our regional Socio-Economic Impact of Philanthropy study, developed with the Center for Nonprofits & Philanthropy at the Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University.

Key insights from the study reveal that, as of Summer 2024:

  • Economic Impact: For each $1 granted in the southwest region, on average, an additional $1.28 is generated in economic activity.

  • Job Support: Grants in the region directly support over 172,029 jobs through direct, indirect and induced effects.

This research study utilized the data shared with PSW members through the Southwest Regional Giving Dashboard.
